First time I met Malene in Saint Paul de Vence in South of France some years ago. She loves to return to her favourite hotel Colombe d’Or as the place is an exceptional artistic restaurant and hotel containing original artwork from famous artists. Inspiring and creative, Malene designs interiors for private clients and has a passion for unique boutique hotels.
I met Malene again last week at Maison & Objet in Paris, where she exhibited her DECOR SPRING 2018. A splendid collection that is theatrically set in a “hotel suite”. Birger1962’s dream and vision is to create a HOTEL UNIVERSE.
Malene started in the fashion industry and stayed there for 25 years. She created a successful brand “By Malene Birger”. What she touches is done with a devotion, love and care into the smallest detail. And again, simple and exotic.
And…on top of the designer’s talents, she is a really nice person…she makes you feel so good in her presence!
